Plan an AI graphic you can edit in parts

Simple composition can make a graphic easier to edit. A flat image still needs a supported workflow to become editable text and objects.

A simple image can be easier to revise, but the result of image generation is not automatically a document with editable objects.

  • Keep text away from busy backgrounds, use clear contrast and leave separation between important elements.
  • Ask for approved wording before generation, then compare the rendered text and product details with the brief.
  • Check what your editor can actually import or reconstruct. If editable text is essential, create it as text in a supported design format.

Context & limitations

The prompt helps with composition. It cannot guarantee that a flattened image can be separated perfectly into layers.

Do this yourself

Make me a ___ graphic. Before you generate anything: I'm going to pull this image apart into editable layers afterwards, so it has to come out separable. Follow these constraints. - Flat, graphic, illustrated style. No photographic depth of field, no film grain, no textured overlay across the whole frame. - Every piece of text sits on its own solid or simple area of background. Never text over busy detail. - Strong contrast between the text and whatever is directly behind it. - The background is a plain field or a simple shape — not a scene the subject is embedded in. - Foreground objects must not overlap the text. - Real words, spelled correctly, in a plain sans-serif. No script, no decorative lettering, no fake-looking type. Ask me for the headline, the subheading and any small print before you start — don't invent the copy. Generate one image composed for a 4:5 output. Use 1080x1350 if supported; otherwise state the actual dimensions and suggest an export or crop. Explain that a flat image does not contain editable layers. If I need reliable editable text or objects, propose a supported vector or layered format before generating.

Simple backgrounds and separated text can help later editing, but editable objects require an actual layered or vector workflow.
