How much does corporate AI training cost in Singapore? (2026)
★ TL;DR
In 2026, public AI courses for working adults in Singapore list at about S$800–2,200 per person for one to two days, before funding. Course fee funding for SSG-approved courses takes off 50–70%, and up to 90% for SMEs and Singaporeans aged 40+, so a one-day course can drop to roughly S$130–330 per person. In-house team workshops are usually quoted per programme. They're built around your team's real work but usually don't get course fee funding unless the workshop is itself an approved course. SFEC changes this month: the current S$10,000 credit runs until November 2026, and a redesigned S$10,000 wallet arrives in late 2026.
I get asked this on almost every discovery call with an HR or L&D lead, usually right after "how long is it?". This is the answer with real numbers: published 2026 prices from Singapore providers, what funding actually takes off, and the questions that save you from paying for a slide deck.
Everything below was checked on providers' and government pages on 6 November 2026. Prices and funding change often, so confirm before you buy.
Published prices for public AI courses
These are open courses your staff can join, mostly SSG-funded. "Net" is what the provider's page says the learner or employer pays after funding.
| Provider and course | Length | Full fee (incl. GST) | Net after funding |
|---|---|---|---|
| NTUC LearningHub: Generative AI Engineer (Alibaba Cloud) | 8 hours | S$817.50 | S$442.50 standard; S$292.50 SME-sponsored or 40+ |
| SMU Academy: Generative AI and prompt engineering | 1 day | S$1,090 | S$327 under 40; S$127 SME-sponsored or 40+ |
| Tertiary Courses: WSQ Business Innovation with Agentic AI | 2 days | S$872 | S$472 standard; S$312 SME or 40+ |
| Ngee Ann Poly CET: Generative AI playbook for business executives | 16 hours, mostly e-learning | S$1,046.40 | S$313.92 standard; S$121.92 SME or 40+ |
| NUS-ISS: Generative AI for business leaders | 2 days | S$1,308 | S$708 standard; S$468 SME or 40+ |
| Heicoders: Generative AI for automation and productivity | 18 hours | S$1,798.50 | S$973.50 standard; S$643.50 for 40+ |
| NUS Computing: Generative Artificial Intelligence | 2 days | S$2,071 | S$741–1,121 depending on eligibility |
| SIT: Generative AI fundamentals | 2 days | S$2,180 | S$654 under 40; S$254 for 40+ |
What this tells you: before funding, one day of public AI training costs roughly S$800–1,100 a head, and two days S$870–2,200. After funding, an SME or an employee aged 40+ often pays a few hundred dollars. Some funding periods end soon; NUS-ISS shows its funding valid to 26 November 2026, so check the dates.
What in-house team workshops cost
Few providers publish in-house prices. They're usually quoted per programme, because the price depends on team size, length, on-site or online, and how much is built around your own work.
One published reference point: General Assembly's corporate page lists its three-day AI programmes for leaders, HR and marketing at S$2,000 per employee before GST, with private runs for 15 or more employees.
Our own pricing, for transparency: Pathwise workshops for teams run from a half-day (about four hours) to multi-day intensives, on-site or online. They're custom-quoted, with a fixed quote within about 24 hours of a free discovery call. We don't publish a rate card, because a four-hour session for one team and a three-day build sprint for a department are different jobs.
What government funding actually takes off
Course fee funding
For SSG-approved courses, the government pays part of the course fee directly, so the employer pays the net amount (GoBusiness):
- Baseline: up to 50% for certifiable SSG-approved courses, or up to 70% at SSG-appointed CET Centres.
- SMEs: up to 20 percentage points more, to a maximum of 90%. An SME here means no more than 200 employees or S$100 million in annual sales.
- Singaporeans aged 40+: up to 20 percentage points more, to a maximum of 90%.
- Who it covers: Singapore Citizens, PRs and LTVP+ holders. The employer must pay the full fee upfront.
From 31 December 2025, funding also depends on the skill: courses in emerging skills get up to 70%, and courses in currently demanded skills up to 50% (SSG factsheet). That's why two AI courses can show different subsidy rates.
Absentee Payroll
For approved courses, employers can also claim S$4.50 per training hour for the time staff spend away from work, capped at S$100,000 per organisation each year (GoBusiness).
SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC): changing now
- Current SFEC: a S$10,000 credit that reimburses out-of-pocket costs. It runs until November 2026 (MOM factsheet).
- Redesigned SFEC, from late 2026: a fresh S$10,000 in an online wallet that offsets eligible costs upfront instead of by reimbursement, for companies with at least three Singapore Citizen or PR employees (same factsheet).
If you have current SFEC left, check with EnterpriseSG what you can still claim before the cut-over. The detailed terms of the new wallet hadn't been published when I checked.
The catch for in-house workshops
Course fee funding applies to courses approved by SSG and run by Registered Training Providers (SSG factsheet). A workshop designed around your team only qualifies if it is itself an approved course with a course reference number (it starts "TGS-").
So be wary of any provider that promises in-house AI training will cost you "nothing after funding". Ask for the course reference number, then check it on MySkillsFuture. That applies to us too.
Why demand for this training is rising
- SME AI adoption rose by about 60% in a year, from 14.5% in 2024 to 23.4% in 2025, according to IMDA's Singapore Digital Economy Report (as reported by People Matters, October 2026).
- Leadership is lagging: in Microsoft's 2026 Work Trend Index for Singapore, most AI users said they need to adapt quickly, but only about a quarter said their leadership is aligned on AI strategy (The Star, June 2026).
Public course or in-house workshop?
| Public SSG-funded course | In-house workshop | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | 1–5 people, or a specific certification | A whole team or department |
| Price shape | Per head; often a few hundred dollars after funding | Per programme; usually cheaper per head for a full team |
| Funding | Course fee funding and Absentee Payroll | Usually none, unless it's an approved course |
| Content | Fixed syllabus, mixed companies | Built around your tools, data and real tasks |
| Dates | Set by the provider | Set by you |
Five questions to ask any provider
- What will each person have built by the end? A working tool or automation beats "awareness of AI".
- Which tools, and will we have access afterwards? Training on tools your company hasn't approved is wasted.
- Is this an SSG-approved course? What's the course reference number? If funding is part of the price, get the number.
- How many people per trainer? Hands-on sessions need a small ratio.
- What happens after the session? Templates, follow-up or a second session decide whether anything sticks.
For what a hands-on session looks like, see what real AI training for teams looks like and what teams ship after an AI workshop.
